My Story

Raised in Buffalo NY, Lauren Anne O’Brien is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of SUNY Fredonia, where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre.

A very shy child, Lauren was roped into auditioning for her 7th grade musical- The Music Man Jr.- by all of her closest friends. Praying that she would just make it into the cast, she was shocked/terrified/thrilled to learn that she would be playing the role of Marian Paroo in the production! Lauren was fully memorized with all of her lines (as well as everyone else’s) in 48 hours, took on the full time role of “drama club geek” through those two months of rehearsals, and knew that she wanted to be an actress by the end of her opening night performance.

From summer-stock work in her college years, playing Ruby in Dames at Sea in the mountains of Colorado, to her time touring the country with the national tour of The Sound of Music playing Liesl, Lauren is a smart actress and a hard worker who understands the importance of preparedness, adaptability, and the power of showing up for yourself and your company every day.
